Twitter has announced that it is cutting-ties with business social network Linkedin, which means that Linkedin can no longer integrate tweets on its web site.
The two social networks first joined forces in 2009, a deal that meant users could sync their Linkedin accounts with Twitter so that tweets appeared on their profiles automatically.
However, head of content products at Linkedin, Ryan Roslansky has now revealed that the two firms will no longer work together, due to Twitter’s revamped application programming interface (API). “If you had previously synced your LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, and selected the option to share Tweets on LinkedIn, those Tweets generated from Twitter will no longer appear on LinkedIn.”
