SMARSH, an archiving and a compliance firm, has produced a guide for financial advisers in the form of an e-book. In addition to this, a series of webinars regarding social media regulations is also available online. James Thompson, the regional director of SMARSH, has stated that the standards have risen and that firms could no longer depend on listening tools and other outdated methods. According to him, the guide was created for the purpose of helping advisers fully comprehend their obligations on social media. The guide was based on the FCA’s (Financial Conduct Authority) final guidance. To read more about this, go to Professional Adviser.
